The recent uprising in Bahrain is turning violent. The age-old Shia-Sunni feud is fueling the violence. Sunni expatriates are targeted especially because, the Shia population believes that Sunni are the supporters of the ruling family of the country. Pakistanis are targeted for two things: first being Sunni and second being that they have been predominantly serving in the Bahrain armed forces.
I have read some shocking stories on blogs. In one incident, the labourers who had been assaulted by an angry mob were beaten by the hospital staff, when they reached there for first aid.
