I was sitting in the high court in Rawalpindi. A young lawyer was arguing his case about copyrights and intellectual property rights. The newly inducted justice was flipping the pages of his file nervously. When the lawyer was about to conclude his arguments, the judge threw a question at him. The judge asked, "You have not described the adjacent properties of your intellectual property." Apparently the judge didn't know the difference between property (shop, house, plaza, plot etc) and intellectual property (mental creations). The judge in question was later fired because of misconduct. This is the level of competence in Pakistan.
