Who is the real expert

“If you’re in the presence of a true expert, you will understand everything they say. If you don’t understand what someone is saying, they are not an expert,” said Nido Qubein, a public speaker.
I had recently started my career as a lawyer. I would come to Rawalpindi, where high court’s bench is situated, to hear cases being argued to get the hang of things. One senior lawyer, after getting to know that I had come just to hear cases, not only encouraged me with a cup of tea but also said something amazing. He said, “The good lawyer is the one whose arguments are understandable even to the illiterate litigants present in the court.” I later observed that the lawyers with simple arguments don’t lullaby the whole court room, including the judges, to sleep.
The on-call electrician of our house, Shakeel aka Sheikh Sahib, has this ability of explaining to us even a complex electric malfunction in very simple words. His simple explanations have made me and my brother amateur electricians. Same holds for my car mechanic Ustad Qasim and his boys. They first explain the problem along with its cause and prevention, if any, and then repair it.
