Establishment, little knowledge and opinion

Facebook in a convenient source of interacting with people these days. One can know what others are thinking, without entering any argument with them. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan’s sit in to block NATO supplies for two days, invoked a mixed reaction from people on the social networking site.
In Pakistan, there are always two opinions to every political move – political stunt directed by establishment and politics of agitation. All political developments have been branded either one of these two. The sit-in of Imran Khan also invoked these two reactions by the people.
No other word finds more space in newspaper headlines everyday than the word establishment, yet most of the people are not aware about its meaning. The only familiarity people have with it is that its something which starts with alphabet ‘e’ and is responsible for Pakistan’s all evils.
The symbolic sit-in which was only meant to show public anger over NATO drone strikes in the tribal areas, was declared by the people as a stunt directed by the establishment. My useless friends in the media also towed this line, overlooking the fact that sit-in demonstrations like these are only meant to show public’s view point on a certain issue.
We are highly opinionated nation who has a little knowledge of things happening around us.
