|The last voyage of Salmaan Taseer.|
Salmaan's father died when he was 6 years old. He had a modest beginning in life. He acquired all the fame and wealth by himself. He had a corporate mindset. He developed accountancy and management firms and also made stints in politics. He was not a public person, therefore lost many elections. He gave up politics and turned his attention to making money and he did really well in it. He owned a media chain containing two newspapers, a television station and a social magazine.
Staff at Daily Times would call him Salu Bai. The only time we published a news about him on the front page of the paper was, when he was appointed as governor of Punjab. He had instructed not to put his name on the front or back pages of the newspaper.
I have seen the place where he was born. No one else from his locality has acquired fame as he had.
