For the last couple of years, a rumor spreads via short messaging service (SMS) on important religious occasions, that name of a certain religious or political personality has appeared on the Moon's surface. People point their fingers towards the Moon and try to show you the name of their religious, political personality, written on the Moon's surface. If you are unable to see the holy name, you are branded atheist and infidel. The safe way to survive the moment is just to nod and get away.
I was working in the Express 24/7 during the last Muharram, people called at our channel's landline to tell us about the 'miracle'. They wanted us to run our bulletin over it. People and friends from Sunni sect were adamant that the Moon had the name of a reverend personality written on it whereas friends from Shia sect wanted us to see the name of their reverend personality on the Moon.
A funny situation developed in a friend's home. All family members present in the house were illiterate except my friend's elder brother's wife (bhabi) who was a graduate.
