Green House

I spotted this house near Morgah Oil Refinery in Rawalpindi. The house was laden with all sorts of creepers that had gone to the top floor. A very rare sight in a culture where plants are disliked because “they make your house look dirty with fallen leaves”.
Haunted with thoughts of upcoming summers, I am researching these days about how to make our oven-hot concrete houses live-able amid load-shedding (power outages). Hanging creepers on outer walls is an easy, economical and healthy way of insulating your house.

  1. Good idea. But I would advise you to go solar. Come summers, load shedding is going to get worse; my prediction.
